The places offer exorbitant combination of mountains, valleys, rice fields, and forests with national parks, which offers a great view of the country’s bio reserve. The specialty of Mai Chau

Mai Chau is a great selection in North Vietnam to explore the delightful country, as this area provides great natural diversity and lovely scenic beauty to mesmerize any tourist. It is located in the Hoa Binh province, and 150 kms from Hanoi. There are 7 ethnic minority groups inhabited in Mai Chau. The Mai Chau houses are typical stilt houses made on wooden structure.

The Pu Luong natural Reserve is one of the best places here, to go for a nice trek amidst nature. You can also explore the lives of ethnic minorities across the trek. If you want an accommodation here, you will get homestays to stay. There are some endangered species in the forests of the reserve. The reserve offers some excellent bird watching.

A great way to explore Mai Chau is by renting a bike or cycle. Biking, cycling, walking and trekking are all nice ways to discover the small town of Mai Chau and adjoining areas, and also the forests.

Besides the Pu Luong Natural Reserve, there are two other hotspots in Mai Chau, and they are Cuc Phuong National Park and the Mai Chau Valley. The valley and forests tell you about the rich bio diversity of the zone, and about the fertile climate where the lush green paddy fields proliferate. Trekking a good way to explore Mai Chau, as you can go through the small villages and habitation sin the zone, and see the local and rural way of life filled with fun and colors.

The Hanoi- Mai Chau travel

The Hanoi Mai Chau tour is based on the capital city tour too. First you arrive at Hanoi, and tour through the Hanoi city. On day 2 you can do a city tour of Hanoi, and then on day 3, you can start for Mai Chau. After you reach Mai Chau, you may give it 2 days or 3 days as per your schedule. Anything less than 2 days may not let you explore Mai Chau fully. Finally, on day 4 you return to Hanoi, and pack your bags for departure after some quality shopping.
